LEVY MWANAWASA UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL APPRECIATES 3.1.3 RACING CLUB FOR GENEROUS DONATION ON AFRICA FREEDOM DAY

Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital extends heartfelt appreciation to the 3.1.3 Racing Club for the generous donation of assorted items made on 25th May 2026 in commemoration of Africa Freedom Day.

The club’s commitment goes beyond sports, as it continues championing the fight against drug abuse among young people under the inspiring slogan, “Stop Drugs, Join Sports.” This noble initiative promotes healthy lifestyles, discipline, and positive community engagement among the youth.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Mr. Ikrama Bux, Chairperson of 3.1.3 Racing Club, emphasized the importance of collaborating with institutions such as Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital in supporting the provision of quality healthcare services to the public. He noted that partnerships between community organisations and healthcare institutions are essential in improving lives and promoting social wellbeing.

Mr. Ikrama Bux was accompanied by Mr. Zaid Nadat, Champion Racer of 3.1.3 Racing Club, and Mr. Moin Yusuf, Secretary and Racer of 3.1.3 Racing Club.

The donation was officially received by Mrs. Juliet Chifunda, Chief Hospital Administrator, who expressed gratitude to the delegation for the generous gesture of support. She stated that such contributions help ease some of the challenges faced by the institution in service delivery and patient care.
