LMUTH Commemorates National Doctors’ Day with Community Health Activities

On 14th March 2026, Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital (LMUTH) commemorated National Doctors’ Day with a series of health-focused activities aimed at promoting wellness and recognising the dedication of medical professionals.

The event featured aerobics sessions, a health walk, and an open-air clinic where members of the public accessed free health services, including blood grouping, blood sugar testing, blood pressure checks, and voluntary blood donation.

The activities were attended by Sheal Mulyata, Minister for Lusaka Province and Member of Parliament, alongside Dr. Charles Mutemba, Senior Medical Superintendent at LMUTH. They joined hospital staff and members of the community in celebrating doctors whose tireless service continues to safeguard the health of the nation.
The hospital management extended its sincere appreciation to all doctors and healthcare workers for their unwavering commitment, compassion, and dedication to saving lives every day.
