STRENGTHENING GLOBAL HEALTHCARE PARTNERSHIPS FOR A HEALTHIER ZAMBIA 🇿🇲🤝🇹🇷
Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital today hosted a delegation from Acıbadem Healthcare Group and the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Ankara as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international healthcare collaboration between Zambia and Türkiye.
The delegation comprised:
Ms. Nancy Hamalambo – First Secretary, Economic and Trade at the Zambian Embassy in Ankara, Türkiye
Ms. Negin Attaran – Manager, Acıbadem Healthcare Group
Mr. Force Lugembe Ndege – International Business Development Supervisor, Acıbadem Healthcare Group.

The visit follows a recent reciprocal engagement after the Ministry of Health’s working visit to Türkiye aimed at fostering stronger collaboration between Zambian and Turkish healthcare institutions.


Discussions during the engagement focused on potential partnerships in specialised healthcare services, including laparoscopic surgery programmes, oncology, pediatric hematology, bone marrow transplantation, CAR-T cell therapy, telemedicine, medical tourism, patient referrals, specialist training, research, and institutional knowledge exchange.
Speaking during the visit, Ms. Nancy Hamalambo highlighted that these engagements reflect the growing partnership between Zambia and Türkiye and a shared vision of improving access to advanced and quality healthcare services for the people of Zambia and the region.

The delegation also witnessed the commissioning of the LMUTH hospital incinerator, where Ms. Nancy Hamalambo reaffirmed Zambia’s commitment to strengthening health sector cooperation through strategic partnerships, innovation, medical training, and knowledge exchange.
