Commissioning of the Bulk Liquid Oxygen Tank at Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital.

On   Thursday 5th December 2024 Government of republic of Zambia and its cooperating partner UNITAID commissioned the bulk liquid tank at Levy Mwanawasa university teaching hospital. The event was graced by   the Permanent Secretary-Technical Services, Dr. Kennedy Lishimpi representing the Minister of Health who thanked the Clinton Health Access initiative for supporting the construction of this Oxygen plant with funding from UNITAID.

 Access to quality health care is a fundamental Human right, and provision of medical oxygen plays a vital role in saving lives, particularly in critical care settings.

This state of the art facility will ensure that our health care professionals have the necessary resources at their disposal to treat patients effectively, especially those suffering from respiratory illnesses and   other conditions requiring supplemental oxygen.
